Day 8: Snow. Again. What is up with the crazy winter weather this year? It has screwed up everything--work, school, errands, etc. The boys are oblivious to the pain in the rear that comes with the snow and think it is just awesome. Oh, and check out my sweet ride. Jealous, aren't you?
Day 9: I finally took down Christmas. Some may think this was late, others may think it was early. Considering how little Christmas stuff we put up this year (just the tree and the mantel decorations) I thought it was late. Early on Melissa time, but late on my mother's time. Ha!
(Day 9 is also when I started to notice how BORING our day-to-day lives really are...only 356 more days of our exciting lives left to document!)
Day 10: Ian loves to read and I love that he loves to read. I cannot wait for Nathan to begin reading on his own so the three of us can enjoy some daily quiet time with our books.
Day 11: Ryan is being a dork in this photo, but that's the norm. Check out the new uniform too. This was the first time Ryan fired live ammunition (and he qualified for a ribbon!) and it was the first time he wore this style uniform. I kept this hanging in our entryway for the first 10 days of deployment to help discourage potential burlars. :) I only took it down because I received funny looks from my friends.

Ryan looks so proud! I love your idea but maybe SOME people would think it was strange.....
Dad and I didn't get our tree down until January 22nd, so I think you beat us. I wanted to hang valentines on it, then Easter eggs, etc., but that didn't get over too well...
I hate burlars, potential or otherwise
