This One's for Jacqui

I went a little nutty at JoAnn Fabric the day after Thanksgiving. Here's the flannel that I purchased...and only the flannel. I bought a bunch of felt, a 10-drawer rolling cart, some sewing notions, scrapbook paper and probably a few other things that I just can't remember at the moment. Oh, I went to two different locations too. What makes this so incredibly nutty??? I barely (and I stress that word) know how to sew anything! I'm determined that 2009 will be the year that I learn. If I remember, I'll post a picture of the one sewing project I have completed so far.

OMG! Seriously. I think I'd be afraid to look at your receipt. LOL! But now that you've started, you need to look at Kwik Sew patterns. They have the best fit for pj's (and clothes in general.) If you still have a Hancock fabrics near you, they carry them as well as some independent shops. I'm so excited for you! =)

The flannel was only $1.49/yard so the damage wasn't too bad! I do have a Hancock nearby...guess I'll have to finally check them out tomorrow. You're so smart. :)

I have the very same brand of crazy going on in my mind. I want to sew everything. I have boxes and boxes of old clothes that I plan to make into the cutest skirts and things for the girls, but I don't actually know how to sew (how hard could it be?!?!) and I don't have a place where I can lay it all out without having to keep it cleaned up and out of reach of little fingers.

I'm glad you're crazy together! I wish I would have found the great bargain you did. I may very well have purchased as much fabric as you did! haha

Jacqui--you need to head on down to Portland and teach my good friend Sheelagh how to sew...since she's closer than I am. :)
